Organic Farm Foods gains “The Ethical Award” in 2010 from The Ethical Company Organisation.

Organic Farm Foods Ltd have attained the top score (100%) from The Ethical Company Organisation who run the Ethical Accreditation Scheme (www.ethical-company-organisation.org)

The scheme independently certifies that the Company has scored highly in an overall analysis of its Corporate Social Responsibility record.

The certification process involves the analysis on up to 15 specific criteria under the 3 general headings of Environment, Animals and People. The scheme conducts a search across several thousand documents from NGO’S, Campaign Groups and Court Reports & is repeated every 12 months to ensure that the Ethical Accreditation awards remain up to date.

The company’s successful Ethical Accreditation earns an Ethical Award for the top score & for scoring highest overall compared to the other Companies in the produce sector.

Adam Wakeley, Managing Director of Organic Farm Foods received the award from Kat Alexander, Company Liaison Director of The Ethical Company Org: “We are especially pleased to attain this prestigious and important accreditation & top score award which independently demonstrates our commitment to Corporate Responsibility and to trading in an ethical manner. As far as we are aware, we are the only fresh produce company within the UK to have attained this award and are proud of our stance to work in a sustainable and ethical way” said Mr Wakeley.

“As a business we adopt certain principles when considering who we buy from and how we operate with our numerous suppliers from around the world. These principles cover four primary categories – that of health, ecology, fairness and care. These principles are transparent & visible on our web site for all our suppliers to view at any time”.

Organic Farm Foods have also attained the Soil Association Ethical Trade accreditation making it the only fresh produce company in the UK to have dual independent Ethical certification & accreditation.
